Does the alarm turn off when you disarm it? Just wondering if yours is
the same problem I've just started having - Alarm will go off for no
reason but won't disarm. It cycles around six times then stops. The
only way to stop it is to start the engine and run it for 30 secs or
so.....

That sounds about right, can't stop it, won't disarm. A couple of times
it's engaged the immobilizer and so won't start either. I ended up
leaving in unlocked with the key in the ignition but off -- the manual
said the alarm won't arm until the key is removed. I'm reluctant to
drop the money on the glass sensor only to find out that it's the alarm
computer. The only other symptom that I can think of is that it's told
my wife "key not accepted" a couple of times. I guess there is an
electronic component to the key?
