My clutch went out and i am pretty sure either the cable came off of
the hook or it snapped. How can i find out if this is what it is and
if so, how can i fix it?

Open the hood. Have someone step on the clutch. Watch to see if the
lever on top of the transmission moves or not. If not, it's the cable.
