Has anyone replaced the front windscreen?  It seems like the gasket is
holding it in place like a VW Bus I used to own.  I have the
windshield but finding a costly challenge to replace.

Ummm, what model of Saab?

If it's a c900 or older, then it is a gasket-mount. I dunno about 9000s,
but suspect they're bonded. Anything more recent certainly will be bonded.

If it's bonded, forget it. Pro job only.

If it's gasket-mount, it can be DIYed, but judging by the swearing the
bloke who put a screen in my c900 was doing, I'd leave it to the pros...
His estimate of 30min finished up as 2hrs...

If ringing the local small indie 'screen places won't achieve anything, I'd
wander up to the depot of one of the big chains and have a quiet chat
directly with one of the fitters, mentioning cash...

I did fail to mention the model.  1988 900
