I am reaching out for some ideas on a problem I have. I am on my
second battery with same problem. Jump in the 900 after a long
weekend with a near dead battery. Luckily I brought my battery back
to the place I purchased to find that the battery is still good. (I
wish I had done that with the old one). The auto parts place was
quick to say it is a charging problem with the alternator. I do not
think that is the best assumption. I started the car, took the
negative cable off to find the car running fine. I would have
expected the car to die or at least work as if it had some sort of
power problem. I suspect some sort of drain as if I had left my
lights on.
So my question is from Saab drivers if they know of something that is
failing which drains the battery with the power off. Thanks.

They'll do that if the hatch/boot lid switch is maladjusted and the light
stays on. Checked that?
Cheers

Measure the current that goes though every single fuse by pulling them
one after another and putting your currentmeter to the fusebox
contacts for the fuse. All in all it shouldn't be more than around
50mA for ALL fuses, so if you have single ones with that amount, it is
too much. Around 300mA points to a single interior light -as hippo
suggested already-.
