I have a 97 900SE-T, and while replacing the headlamp bulbs last
night, noticed that the plastic center portion of the wiring
connectors for the bulbs was crumbling. On the left, I essentially
have three separate wires to reconnect. Not being fond of bare metal
connectors, I temporarily taped the left; the right is ok for now.
I know I could probably just do a cut and replace with shielded female
spade connectors, but there are some other reasons I've been
contemplating replacing both headlamp assemblies. Would new "buckets"
bring new connectors?
Been back in the SAAB family for a year, and have enjoyed every
minute. I've been mainly lurking, since the car has been trouble
free. Thanks in advance.

Don't think so, but check here: http://www.eeuroparts.com

Replace your upper idler pulley and serp belt if you don't know that
it's been done in the last 50K miles. Consider the "short belt"
modification. If you can't google that, let me know and I can dig out
a link.
