transmission-to-engine bolts- thread sealer?

Hi,

I'm in the process of replacing the transmission on my 1992 900 (2.1L NA). I
put the engine block onto a rebuilt transmission with the gasket and Permatex
Ultra-blue (as per Bentley manual), and torqued the bolts to spec. But now I've
realized that I used thread locker instead of thread sealer on the 6 bolts that
are supposed to be sealed. So my question is: should I bother breaking those 6
bolts free and putting them back in with thread sealer, or is the thread locker
sufficient? And can I use Permatex Ultra-blue on the threads, or do I need to
get Loctite 545 or whatever?

Also, a couple other questions while I'm at it:

I had the engine oil pickup tube removed from the engine while I was waiting
for the new transmission, and then I put it back on. I torqued the two 13 mm
bolts to 20 ft-lbs, but did NOT use any thread locker. Is this going to be OK?
(I guess I should have asked that *before* I put it back together...)

Finally, the new transmission is built for a hydraulic mount at the front,
whereas the old one I'm replacing had a solid rubber mount. Besides the
hydraulic mount itself, do I need some sort of bracket or something? I've never
dealt with this type of mount before.

Thanks!

John

hi, thread locker, thread sealer , same differance.
thread sealer  just stops oil , water coming thru the threads,  thread
locker  stops the bolt  loosening, and ALSO acts as a thread sealer.
just leave it as it is.

as for the two bolts , that will be ok.
if you think about it ,  holden six conrod bolts are  torqued to 20 to 25 ft
lb, and  dont use thread locker.
