The the trunk release motor was damaged by a heavy beer keg. It now
makes a high pitch whine when engaged and it doesn't release the trunk.
How easy is it to replace this by myself? Any ideas on where to buy
this aside from Saturn. Is this an expensive item?

Thanks for any help.

Junkyards, or maybe eBay.

>Is this an expensive item?

Call a junkyard -- listed in the Yellow Pages under Automobile Parts &
Supplies (Used).

It's time to throw all their damned tea in the harbor again.

Do you know if the frequency of the remote is an issue with the trunk
release or are they all the same frequency for this function?

The remote does not control the motor, the computer does.
