Lately, my 'o2 trunk has gotten to sound like a creaky old haunted house
door when opening or closing. Obvoiusly it needs lubrication, but where and
what should I use?

sounds like the trunks torsion rods.  they are the two rods that run side to
side up under the shelf the speakers are attached to. wd40 should help.
