They got the 1st Astra XR 5 door at my store the other day. Got to drive it
some more, very smooth ride and much more precise steering than my ION. The
engine doesn't have much low end torque and is a little noisy at takeoff but
gets going once in motion. I like the new radio, it works kind like working
an iPod, no iPod plug though. It sits lower than my ION by about an inch or
two. Very nice cloth seats, monochrome dash is hard to make out which dial
is for what in the daytime but lights up at night well. I would like to race
one with my ION for pinks so I can own one. <g>
I went to a small autoshow today and saw it. Best of luck to you. To
sandwich a comment...the rear window is kind of small. The car looks nice.

actually once you sit in the drivers seat, there is no loss in visibility,
it is much like the rear window of the VUE.
