"1955 Studebaker.  Stock V-8 with 2 barrel carb. stock automatic
trans. in dry storage last 4 years.  Very complete car, seems to be all
original.  Appears to have been painted once since new (original colors).
Engine runs smooth & quiet , brakes are out from sitting so long.  For me I
would throw away drivetrain and install LS-1 & 6 Spd & 9 inch ford rear(not
incuded)  Body in great shape..."

Well there's no way to reply to the sellers comment without offending
somebody. But, maybe I'll email him and tell him WHERE to install his
LS-1 and 6 spd. Then again maybe not.<G>

Maybe he wants a fast sale to a real Stude owner by scaring the hell out of
him with that line......

This car was up on ebay just a couple of weeks ago, & reserve was too high
to get a sale. It is located at a small car lot which specializes in old
cars, several miles from my place N of Houston.
It loks like a $4000 car to me.

Take another look at that VIN plate, boys: Someone has already taken
out the original drivetrain, because it was/is a CHAMPION!

I see that, notice also the "S" on the dashboard and decklid.  Appears
to be a roughly correct engine, I wonder if the brakes are Commander.
