Was there every an article in Turning Wheels on horn buttons? I have
them back to 1984. Seems like I remember seeing one.

I have them back into the early 70's and I seem to recall one.
StudeBob would know and he reads the NG.

The reason I`m asking. I am working on a 48 7G-Q1. Did it have a small
one or large one

There are a couple different types, but all are apprx. 2 1/2 in in diameter.
Round bake-o-lite, Red border ring, bullseye center background in gold
(maybe smooth, or diamond skulpting) with super imposed raised lazy "S"
chrome sides, white painted border around "S" and white on surface of "S".
Other style has chromed lazy "S".  Depending on horn ring, should have
chrome bezel around button, or button fits into horn ring without bezel.

Oh, just about forgot.  Depending on the model, the cheaper one had a chrome
platted, painted horn button looking similar to the bake-o-lite type.
