Just got back from the upholstrey shop and brought all my newly recovered
seats with me except the seat parts of the front split bench.
He did a pretty damn good job.
These are JP's seat covers and a guy with 29 years experience.
If anyone would post a pic on the NG for me,email me,I can't post pics
anymore.
The part on the bottom of the fronts he was having trouble with are just
where the new covers don't come down in the front quite far enough,A problem
I think we have cured.

That particular "problem" is found with the seats on my Lark that I got from
JP as well. AutoCraft needs to address this problem, JP. Any idea how to get
them to modify their pattern a little bit???

Yep,I thought he did good.
I think the minor problem JP,is theres a split in the front of the covers
that dosen't need to be there, and Ill measure for you when I get them how
much longer they need to be.
I thought by just looking at it,he mabey able to pull them dowm a bit more
and leave a small gap that can be covered with a piece of "spare" material.
As you know I really like your covers and highly recommend them.
If your cars ratty at all inside, there a small amount of money that makes a
huge difference. You can do them yourself (as Ive done)and with a bit of work
you can make them look very good.
Tough too.The ones on my 62 Lark have stood up very well to normal sumertime
"driver"wear and tear.

Thanks for the kind words, but even at $200 a set, it costs me
nothing to tweak the pattern for a perfect fit. I need to be careful
though since no two Studebaker seats are the same shape after 40-50 years.

Not many Studebaker owners are the same shape after 40-50 years either

Shouldn't matter on the cushions because the original foam is always turning
to powder anyway. If you don't want a new little pile of yellow powder on the
floor everytime someone sits down you better replace it(G)
