Think about those R2 Wagonaire's...
Think about 'what if' Stude was still around and someone were to do that
today?
Well, this has 'the look'...

That phrase: "This awesome truck Just needs finished up!" slays me.
At the plant we would be pestered by the engineers and managers as to when a
repair would be completed. A legitimate estimate could bring trouble if anything
unexpected delayed the job.
i.e.
"You said it would be done in an hour and it took you an hour, ten minutes. I
told (Insert name of head guy present) that it would be running in an hour."
"No, I said it would take ABOUT an hour. Didn't you listen?"
"Are you trying to make me look bad?"
"Hey, jackass, it's 2PM, we stayed over and still haven't had lunch yet to get
this thing back on line."
And further unfocused conversations followed.........
Regardless of the work status we started giving estimates of "I JUST NEED TO
FINISH UP."
They went away happy --- thinking they knew something ---- and we went on
happily working. Those open assed estimates never affected the manufacturing
world at all but it did make a saner environment for those involved.
An extremely handy phrase and probably still being used.

A friend of mine was being pestered to get a drawing done by Friday.
After repeated inquires, he said, "Damn it Bob, it will be done Friday
even if I have to take Thursday off!"
Early Friday morning the PM showed up, looked it over and was glad to
see it was done. Phil said, "Nope, it isn't. I left it almost done
yesterday, but I still have to put a period at the end of note three to
finish it."
The PNM never bothered him again.
