Minor rant here.Applied for vacation days for the South Bend swap Got my

Reason given is we will be too busy. This was also the reason I couldnt go to
York and one other time for SB.
Funny thing is,a gal took her daughter to Florida for a week for baseballs
spring training and another had a family vacation in Mexico just last
week.Apparently if you have no children you get to pick up the slack for
those who can run off at anytime.
I might head down after work Friday and drop in Sat. sometime to meet a few
NGr's.Who knows...I may be unemployed by then.

Bob,
Man, you really don't look well. I'll bet by May you'll be really
sick. Can't you burn up some sick time? SBN is really important , it
fact, I was sick one year and couldn't go to work but managed to drag
myself 500 miles to SBN.
One must establish priorities.

Get your vacation request for Reedsville in now. :)
nate
(speaking of which, I should honestly do the same. Just had a very
annoying conversation with my boss re: vacation time today. I have
three weeks left this year, and put in a request for one day later this
month and it was "conditionally" accepted - the condition being that I
had to project completion dates for all projects assigned to me before
that date, a literally impossible task. Oh well maybe I won't be
working there when Reedsville rolls around.)

My boss told me to take as much time as I wanted, and that I should buy
anything I really want.
Ofcourse, I have to take her with me.... <G>

Sorry to hear that, Bob. I hope you can at least get a few days off to make
it to Moose Jaw on the July long weekend. Where I work, seniority does play
a huge factor when it comes to time off, so I havn't had a problem getting
time off when I've requested it. I don't know how long you've been employed
where you are, but I would stand my ground and tell the boss straight out
the days I need to have off. By law, you are entitled to vacation time, and
you employer MUST give those days to you, although admittedly, your employer
has the authority to pick the days for you. Give her another shot, and ask
again. The boss just may relent this time and let you take those days off
for South Bend.
