So I got the Champ out of "storage" this weekend. I changed the oil
and set the tappets. The engine has less than 4500 miles on a rebuild.
However when I was driving back I noticed that the oil pressure was
around 60 psi. This concerned me, should it? I was thinking that the
oil pressure relief valve might need to be replaced. Also the speedo
has developed a nice squeel and like to hop around a lot. Besides that
it runs like a Champ.

60lbs of oil pressure is good. 2lbs of oil pressure would be bad. Take the
speedo cable out and lubricate it and you might consider taking the
speedometer out and lubricating it as well.

Probably not a thing wrong with it.
Still cool out?
Fairly thick oil?
Follow the manual?
"The book" is pretty informative on oil weights.
Also....
The book" has the procedure for 'servicing' the oil pressure relief valve.
It gets removed and cleaned, not replaced.
Sounds like some speedo cable lube is needed. Don't use grease.
There should also be a teeny plug like cap right where the speedo cable
fastens to the speedo head.
A drop of a real light oil make a world of difference. Once a decade should
suffice.
Sounds like a good day!
