Anyone know the wheelbase and overall
length (bumper to bumper) for a 1940 Champion
2 Door Sedan. Got a friend who may have a line
on one, but he wonders how "big" a car they are.
In online pix, they don't look that "long" to me.
(Didn't know that model was the Indy Pace car
for 1940, until I searched the net, either).
Any info or links to info would be appreciated. Thanks

According to my 39 shop manual's frame chart, centerline to centerline
wheelbase is 109.5. Overall frame length is 156.125 (add a foot +/- for the
bumpers). Nice and compact, jus' the way extra-frugal Stude owners like 'em.

Not sure of the dimensions, but I just got an e-mail from a guy who
has one for sale. It's a stalled streetrod project, so the good stuff
has gone <G>, but he wants only about $800 for it.
