I figured I'd better start generating some interest on this one a
bit early based on what he has in the car. <g> Pix to follow in a few
days. Jim's other cars were very, very nice, so I expect this one will
be too.
"John, A year or two ago you ran 4 auctions for me on E-bay and sold
a `55 champion 2-dr, a `55 sw, a `64 convert, and a `58 Packard. I
was pleased with the results, and now have a `58 Commander 2-dr
hardtop I want to sell. This car was sold new in ElPaso TX, and is
probably one of the most rust free `58`s you will ever find. I swore
I wouldn`t get involved in any more restorations, especially on weird
cars, but broke my own rules. It was taken down to bare metal, all
dents taken out and excellent quality base coat clear coat paint job
done to original color, Waterfall Blue. Chrome done. New correct wide
whites. Interior correct, by Phantom, (took year and a half to get).
Has S-P dealer air . Needs engine detailed. Well, I put way too
much money into the car, ($xxxxxx). But, I`ve always bought what I
liked, and if I made money fine, and if I lost money fine. Are you
interested in running this on E-bay? Let me know, and I will send
you the photos etc. We can discuss what you think a legitimate
reserve might be."

Really whacky styling on the 58 hardtops, I have been thinking of doing
a mild custom on mine using the 56 sedan rear bumper, dagmars on the
front bumper and leopard interior. 58 Provincial wagon appeared on
Craigs list last week and was snapped up after a couple of hours!
