Damn! I would be screwed! I have a 1327 sq. ft. house and a 3100 sq.
ft. garage, some others on the NG have some killer garage space too!
The key is communication with the neighbors before you even get the building
permit. Talk to them in person, show them your plans and when it is up,
invite them over to help christen it.
Not a whimper out of my neighbors when we put up our 54 X 40 shed, which is
12' to the bottom of the rafters. One neighbor, about three doors down
asked another neighbor if he thought I'd mind keeping his Thunderbird in
there over the winter. Never asked me, though. It is a Studebaker shed
after all, and we have our principles. ;-)
