Hi Studidudes: I am looking for a skybolt 6 (170 CID OHV) engine for my
1963 Lark Daytona Convertible. No junker or smoker; am looking for one
that either has been well cared for or has been rebuilt by someone who
knows what they are doing. If anyone either has one or knows of one,
let me know!

Thanks,
-George-

Just buy the V-8 JP has, and have done with it!

I'd love to, but I'd need to swap out the tranny (which I just replaced
a few months ago with a NOS) plus mounts, etc. Besides, all my other
Studes are V8's: it's fun to have a 6 cyl in the corral :-)

I needed an OHV 6 for the Zip Van-and all I asked was NOT
needing to be bored out AND froze up..
took 3 years to get one.
and then it came out of a crushed (by a tree) lark

I have an excellent running OHV 6 w/ rebuilt auto from a 63 which was
rodded, available reasonable.

I'll bet Neil Thornton, Stephen Cade, or George Klutkowski would be able to
put their hands on several such engines, between the three of them.

George is frequently on the NG, and you can call Stephen at My Studebaker
dot com.

Neil is the So. Ga. Chapter President. Drop me an email for his #.

There've been a few Larks with 6's on eBay lately. If it's a rough
car, part it out. Otherwise sell thenginless body to someone else
