In the rebuild of my '55 Champion 2-door, it's time to re-install the cardbaord-jute firewall thing. My old one is typically cracked and cruddy and I'm not wild about spending 75 more dollars on something so...well, dumb. Yeah, I know things will get warm & noisy without it, so has anyone found something that'll work. I can use the old one for a template. Have spent a lot replacing and reparing other things on this beast. -sigh- Thanks! Talk to Ray about the black foam padding he uses... easy to install and looks great when installed. Ray?? Go to: http://www.armaflex.com/ Look at their armacell insulation. If you can't find a local dealer, I have some I can cut/send for $35 (it's not cheap- but it's very-very good!) - you will have to trim it to fit. I use it for carpet pad, firewall insulation, trunk liner, steering collumn seal, hood pad, etc...
