While at his local Pic-A-Part he found a 1960 Continental and thought
the power window motors looked familiar. He sent me a pix and they were
indeed the Avanti Power window jobs. He scored five good ones off the
car, plus he grabbed some odds and ends. The trunk lock just went for $160 !

Is this a known interchange?  Seems to me I was told that the only one
was some Ford station wagon tailgate window motor.  Might prove useful
in the future, who knows.

I predict Bob making a lot of new friends in the near future :)

Known or not, it's the correct motor:

Are ALL the power window motors on that '60 the same as used on the
Avanti??? I thought it was just the rear window motor that was the same.  I
did read about the interchage in a TW around 1978 or '79.  I remember the
part number started with 'C0LF_.......'.

Those motors can be bought from some t-bird vendors for around $150.00 per
and they have been rebuilt.

Again, it's the switches that T Bird used that are Avanti, not the
motors. I'd take a half dozen rebuilt motors at that price. <g>
