The 64 CDR started sounding like the water pump was failing.
It seems to wiggle a lot, too.

The car sat for a long time - since 1989 - and I don't know if the pump
was changed; even after that it also sat around a lot before becoming
my DD.

All that leads up to:
Got an interchange or generic part number you can supply?

(I tried some places in the SDFC site, but must not have hit on the one
I need.)

There is no interchange, order from a Studebaker vendor.
