Around here it is the men who have the phone glued to there ear.   Driving,
eating, watching tv.  I have a friend who will not even leave his home with
out his cell phone and his wife is about to wrap it around his neck.

As I understand the system, when there s a message for your phone, it
needn't be sent via all the transmitters in the world.
To make this work, your phone emits a signal every few minutes letting
the system know within the range of what transmitters you are.
If you have a call directed at you, it sends them through one (or more)
of those three that recieved the latest of the 20 minute signals.
In other words, that bundle on your belt is transmitting a short burst
three times an hour.

As you can see, this is also a good way of findig out where yu are
several times an hour.
Fortunatly, your boss would never do such a thing.

Well, I don't have to worry about getting brain cancer from MY
cellphone. I still use a Motorola "bag phone", witha 3 watt
transmitter that outputs through a rooftop antenna on my truck.

And if I don't want "them" to find me, I can unplug the phone.

Cell phone usage and brain cancer have had links for years.  Microwave

There have been lots of claims of a link, and lots of studies, but no
one has been able to prove a link between cell phones and cancer.

Wait another ten to fifteen years when all today's teenyboppers start
developing funny looking ears, bulging eyes, and skewed speech...
