Difference in 63-64 Hawk Disk/no Disk

There is a guy on the SDC forum that has been asking for some time now
about the differences in a Hawk power drum and power disk/drum brakes.
I won't go into all the problems he has (since he is trying to do
something that is not possible without a lot of $$), but since both of
my Hawks have power disk brakes I cannot fully answer the part of his
question about the following:

1) Pedal length is it really different between Power Drum and Power Disk/Drum?

2) The differences between the master cylinders between Power Drum and
Power Disk/Drum.  I replaced one of mine several years ago and the
person at SASCO said that the one for disk/drum did not have a check
valve and the other one does.  I checked the service manual and it says
"All 63/64 Hawks"  had master cylinders with check valves and I don't
have a real strong desire to pull mine off to see if it does or
doesn't, nor do I know if it really matters.

3) The differences between the hydrovac units.  The power Drum unit has
a long snout and has a bleeder on the end, the power disk/drum has a
short snout and no bleeder.  Other than that I have no idea what the
differences are?  Has anyone tried swapping these to see if they will
work?

Thanks

I think the real problem is that he has converted to a dual circuit
master cylinder and is trying to run manual brakes with a power brake pedal.

Nate, I agree he is not using any of the information I or other have
given him regarding his setup.   He continues to try to come up with a
method to use the dual MC with a Stude hydrovac, which I and several
others have said is a NO GO!

However, I would also like to know the differences in the setups to not
only answer his questions but also for my own edification!

I spent  time investigating this, the
answer is he can if he has the money.
One or both of these places Summit  or
Speedy's  sell  trunk mounted dual
vacumn boosters and a trunk mounted
vacum pump with reserve tank/

Also available is an underfloor dual MC
with  7 inch booster, but you would need
to remove the first outrigger from the
frame which holds up the door post with
hinges.

I am the guy mentioned that has the brake problem. Sorry that I gave the
impression I wasn't listening to advice. I experimented with several
things passed on to me. I even tried using my original power brake unit on
the front discs only but to no avail. Based on advice given I have been
trying to locate a conventional brake pedal that has more travel than my
power brake pedal. I now have standard brakes with Turner discs on the
front with a dual M/C. I can use the car but the brakes aren't great. I
value the contacts and advice from the forum and apologise if it seemed I
eas ignoring it.

I helped a friend that has a 63 GT that was having the same problem. We
could not get enough travel out of the power brake pedal to apply the
brakes. We added an extension to the bottom lever and it appeared to help
a
little. He solved his problem by installing a swinging brake pedal.
