I have a 63 Avanti and was getting ready to paint the engine area. I always
assumed it would be the body color.
But found this one on EBAY and the engine bay area is painted black. And the
ad states its really an original car.
So which one is right? Thanks
Malcom

It is body color, the ebay owner is incorrect.

"At some point, prior to 1986 when we aquired it, either the entire nose
or just the lights were replaced with  '64 parts."

Probably explains the engine bay paint, and at least belies the
'original' claim
