If you're coming to Spokane and looking for some alternative entertainment,
here's one suggestion.  On Wednesday evening, August 17th, the local NPR
station has one of their yearly fund raisers, the KPBX Blues Cruise.  It
is a two hour cruise on Lake Coeur d'Alene on a large boat with a no host
bar and a local blues band.  Very nice summer entertainment.  Coeur
d'Alene is about a 35 minute drive from the host hotel in Spokane.  More
