Are the scuff plates for a Speedster different than the other 55 coupes?
Thanks for any/all leads.
Regards,
Jim

No they are not, and SI has them.

I installed a pair on Brian Scott's car a couple years ago... they were
perfectly straight whereas the car itself is slightly curved.  I was
able to make them work, and I am told that the newer ones have been
corrected for better fit.  Once installed they looked fine, although
the lettering/dots appeared to be etched in whereas they appeared to
have been stamped on the original.  Font, etc. was the same but the
texture was a little different.  Don't know if that has been changed on
the newer versions or not.

All 1953-56 Studebaker C & K bodies used the same scuff plate
regardless of model or series.  The repros available were thicker
etched stainless compared to the original stamped units.  They dont fit
as well, yes, but newer repros have just come available that are also
stamped like the originals.  They are markedly more pricey and I have
never attempted to fit a pair.  They are available thru Studebaker
International.

What did they go for?  I think that I have a set acquired in the early 1970's...

I looked at your Speedster yesterday Jim....
It's under a nice, soft comfy car cover...
