It occurred to me while researching shipping on the 61 Hawk that I
might be moving it the wrong way for the next buyer, so here's the deal.
I'll sell the car, where is, as is (other than getting it running and
with driveway brakes.)
I'll tell you all I know about the car, so no tire kicking questions
please. It's a 61 289, 3 speed OD, some extra parts in the trunk. I was
told it has some trunk lip rust, and a small spot high on one fender.
The car sat in a shed for seven years, the interior is poor, brand X
front buckets, engine rebuilt recently.
$3500, for a quick, no questions asked sale. Dave Miller has first dibs.
If you want to ask a lot of questions, wait until Sal gets it on ebay
for us. <g> $3500 and I don't think you can get hurt at that figure. Car
is in NW Washington state, and I'll help arrange shipping.

$500 to Southern Ca. Maybe $1050 to Indiana, $1300 or so to the east
coast.  (approx)

I was wondering if you could drive it over to my house in Florida for me so
I can give it a test drive before I think about buying it??? BTW, are the
tires new? What about the engine... is it rebuilt? <g>

Matter of fact the engine is rebuilt.<g> I'll update you on the rest
when Sal gets it next week. As has been suggested, most buyers would
rather pay a premium to be sure of what they are getting rather then
gamble. On this car, I think I have a 20 against the dealers 16, but
there could be a five in the deck for the dealer. I got hurt pretty bad
on a GT Hawk sale a few months back, so anything can happen, but I have
a good feeling about this one. Stay tuned.

Not a hour every a slot came open in a hauler going south I started
getting e-mails about the Hawk now that it's too late. Anyone e-mailing
me later, you won't get a reply. I'm not ignoring you, I'm just off to
AC for a day trip. They are giving away a SUV and some cash, and someone
has to win it. <g> (5 chances out of a 1000, might not be worth the
drive, but what the hey) BTW N8, I'm not stay over, so I'll be in the
garage when you show up in the A.M.
