Reading this ad for a 1940 Packard Custom brings tears to my eyes:

The care lavished on this car and the excellent usage of the english
language sure makes the ad come alive for me. Ahhhhh

Well, whatever it is, it isn't 1940 anything!  Is it even a Packard?

Yeah, Bob, he kind of starts off on the wrong foot. It isn't even a
Packard; I think it's a 50-51 DeSoto, but can't say for sure. I'm
pretty sure it IS a DeSoto, however. It isn't a Packard, that's for
sure! Yes, a terrific command of The King's English!

You need to understand Aurora, IL.  Kinda like Stearns county in MN, if you
catch my drift.

Heyyyyyyyyy. My folks and all my relatives are from Stearns county... where
proper punctuation and spelling are still taught.Along with proper
techniques for cow tipping.<G>

Sorry, out of all the counties in MN, I pick on Stearns.  It is notorious
for some strange antics, you must admit.  However, Aurora, IL is still an
anomaly.  Most areas are best stayed out of at night.  Or any other time of
day for that matter.

I have been told there is a Golden Hawk in Stearns county sitting amongst
piles of rusting farm equipment. In true "I might be able to use a part of
it on the combine" fashion,it isnt for sale.I think that visiting the
relatives who would never get rid of anything and found creative uses for
derelict stuff turned me onto the car hobby.I probably was the only kid
around who always looked at hay racks to see what car chassis they were
built on.

That add is unique, and deserves an award for the best example of this
type of creative advertising.

He has corrected the listing <G>. It is now listed as a Packard
Plymouth Custom. He's getting closer...
