Diesel fuel in Vacaville, california just hit US$3.40 a gallon. Yikes!
I'm sure happy that I'm a company driver & not a owner operator. The
"cheap" gasoline around the S.F. area is about $2.70. The thing of it
is, there's no shortage of the stuff, you can buy as much as you want,
at their prices.
Best to all,
Chris H.
The "Gas City" 87 octane gas just went to $2.85 here in the burbs of
Chicago. Thats with 10% ethanol! Highest I can remember.

I had to run some errands today and needed some gas. All the stations I
went by were uniformly $2.599 for 87 octane (price fixing?). I pulled in to
Sam's in Hagerstown (MD) and there was a line at each set of pumps. 87 was
$2.399 so, needless to say, I felt it worth while to line up too.

I filled up with regular this morning 10 miles from home at 2.429. Went on
to work and passed a station in Houston showed 2.999 for the same stuff.
That looks like price gouging to me. That station is usually 16-18 cents
above the other station but this is total BS!!
