I have some really nice (for the most part) '54 Stude body parts that I
want to sell as I am replacing many items with fiberglass components:
>front bumper
>rear bumper with tag surround (tag surround has grape sized dent)
>rear trunk lid (dechromed & filled)
>hood (needs minor repairs)
>LF fender (excellent condition)
>RF fender (excellent condition)
>front air dam (minor boogers, normal places)
>grill surrounds (not perfect)
>grill bars (not perfect)
>all misc front sheetmetal braces, grill supports, etc.
>radiator (great shape, I replaced with aluminum unit)
Basically a whole front clip from firewall forward and the trunk lid &
rear bumper.
I need to generate as close to $2400.00 as possible, I need feedback on
ebaying the group as a whole or seperate items to cover costs of
replacement items. Inputs? Thanks in advance!

Assuming you are talking C-K you can probably get quite a bit more selling
the pieces individually if you want to bother with that much listing,
handling, shipping, etc. Only the left front fender isn't worth much- I
could use that <G>.

It is a "C" (coupe) body.

I am still looking for a good pair of front 1956 c/k fenders complete
with inners. I have a NOS left front and a near NOS right front. I
don't want to be bothered to match the outters to inners and would
rather just have the complete assembly.
Now, are the '54 inners the same as '56?

Nope.
I have a complete rust free left front from a 56 Hawk. It has some light
surface rust, your welcome to come look at. Also, a pair from a 63 Super
Hawk.
I'm sure we can work something out in the way of a deal.

That would solve my left hand side but the '63 inner (right side) is way
different than in '56. It may be what I have on hand might work. I'm
going to have to make a side by side comparison.
I also have a NOS left rear quarter complete with attached gas door.

That reminds me, Bob Miles, or Jerry Kaiser has a pair of nice rust free 56
fronts for sale. At least, I think it's one of those two gentlemen?

Not me either.
Calvin, just my opinion. Sell it all as a package. Price it with a
reserve for what you need.
If you piece it out, it will take you 3 times as long to sell it all.
If someone needs most of what you have they will bid and then they can
sell what they don't need.
Again, my opinion

Calvin,
How not perfect are the surrounds? No rust out on the 2 front fenders?
Bo
oldcarfart - 18 Aug 2005 13:07 GMT
no rust out, just surface rust and the surrounds may not be
rechromeable, I am far from a chroming expert.

I looked at these parts last night and I can attest to them being super
nice.
Sure, they have some 'patina' on them, but they are nice.
Calvin pointed out the booger on the nose of the hood and it looked like a
half hour with a body hammer and dolly and you'd never know it was boogered.
I told Calvin that he ought to whisper in Pat Skelly's ear on the hood....if
Pat wanted to sell his louvered hood for big bucks....
The front fenders were real nice.... I mean REAL nice. A fast pass with a
soda blaster and they could be primered and painted. If someone had the hots
to put a 53/4 front clip on a later C/K, this would be a great setup.
