I was wonder what was the correct paint color for 1956 automatic transmission? And was it a different for the Standard transmission? Plus on the bottom of the auto-transmission pan was it left plain or painted a color? Rick (something I should know but the Beer cells are fuzzy) Courtier . . . I've seem some overspray on them but never seen one that was "painted". Bob The only "factory painted " Studebaker tranny I've seen is in my 8E28A dump truck. At least all the ones I've seen have that finish :) nate  Signaturereplace "fly" with "com" to reply. http://home.comcast.net/~njnagel My NOS 3sp/od trans had the used 30 weight treatment, not a spot of paint. Seen a rebuild painted all black. Seen many so greasy and dirty that who knows what color they were. All the standards were unpainted. |
