I'm out in the garage clearing a space for my '57 Packard wagon
that's coming home from Bob Belling's shop. The body and paint
are gorgeous! Anyway, I digress... A Bondobilly clock on the
wall that had stopped months ago in need of a new battery,
suddenly started running! I thought I heard Rod Serling's voice!

Don't talk to me about batteries.
August has me about$300 so far.

this estrogen haven) Rice

For ANYBODY not in on the joke, Rod Serling was a prominent Avanti owner.  A
dimension, not of sight and sound, but of Mind...

Here's hoping those visions continue.

Rod Serling went to Bennett HS in Buffalo, NY. That was my HS. We were
pround of Rod, and Bob Lanier (the Detroit Pistons Center) another
grad. Had Laniers size 16's in a cabinet in the foyer. Don't remember
what they had of Serlings. Great to know he was an Avanti guy. I highly
doubt he drove Studes in Buffalo, but maybe.    KM

Herb Shriner, a TV star comedian from Indiana, also had an Avanti.
I think that he died in a crash with it, but may be wrong.

Read Richard Quinn's article in the Sept 05 TW.  You are correct.
