Doesn't the front seat  look well used as evidenced by the depressions? Is
that stock upholstery?
Is that a worn through place I see at about 7 O'clock on the clutch pedal?.
I think he is dreaming with that starting bid.

My 48 LandCruiser was on EBay twice before I sold it to a local for
1400, a running driving shiny paint car that I drove from San Jose Ca
to Tucson. He put it on 3 times finally put it at no reserve and sold
it for 1800. Needed rugs and door panel but seats and headliner were
done. This has been less than a year ago.

I don't think he is dreaming; delirious yes but dreaming no.

I tend to believe the mileage is possible based on the condition of
the carpets and pedals. The starting bid is not where I would begin,
he's just giving ebay his money.

Those look like seat covers from that period. I had one of these years ago
but as I recall that was not at all like the upholstery in it. If the
original upholstery has been covered by the seat covers it could be in good
condition.

Looks to be a nice beginning if he would allow the bidders to determine the real
value.  The speedometer is broken probably at the 43K mark??

48's had the prettiest dash; that interior is worth the opening bid.
"Temperature controlled storage since 1955"?  That car must have sat in a
bakery oven the first 7 years of its life to have paint like that.  And
something's been leaking down that instrument cluster.  Nice starting point
though;  48 Land Cruisers were fabulous cars.

That car has been driven so far that the needle has fallen off the
speedometer

There are a ton of interior parts I would love, and some engine parts.. The
right front body mount is on its last legs its all rusty and it is made from
the same metal the body is.

Well Gang,

He has lowered the price but still has a reserve. Jump in...but not me.

I bought a 52 Commander 4 door with original nice still interior. It is
not a regal but for riding comfort and ease of driving, I will take the
52 over the 48 100 time out of 10.
