Robert Black - 26 Aug 2005 19:04 GMT Well,months ago he told us that there was a new Studebaker Motor Company dealer opening right here in Nova Scotia.He didn't say where it was in Nova Scotia,so I figured it had to be the big smoke ,Halifax. Well the darnest thing is,Im in Halifax often,and occasionally talk to motorcycle and car dealers,and no one I know of has ever heard of this guy or his company. And to think I could finally stop drving those old Harley-Davidson clunkers and order me up a new Stude bike. Then Id get a new Stude,er,I mean"Studebaker motor company" car for winter. Now Im starting to have doubts. So far,hes only managed to change his web page a little. At this rate,my the time I get my new bike Ill be to old to ride it(G).

I just figured I'd cut him some slack and see what happens since he did do some work on his web page at least.

Studedude - 27 Aug 2005 03:59 GMT Can he legally use the Studebaker name? I thought that the museum owned the name.
midlant@earthlink.net - 27 Aug 2005 00:01 GMT One* cannot argue logically and with conviction until he knows and can argue the opposing view as well at the opposition does.
* with one exception.

"Studebaker Motor Company, Inc is Only responsible for the vehicles and the products it manufacturers or plans to manufacture or that has manufactured by another company."

Mike Williams - 26 Aug 2005 19:27 GMT Well since as near as I can tell they have not made anything, nor have they had anything made they are not responsible for anything. They are only responsible for the things they plan to manufacture, isn't that like a pipe dream? Gee that was clear. Mike

Mark Anderson - 26 Aug 2005 19:41 GMT Personally, I think this is the biggest bunch of whooey I've seen in a long while. Where are the vehicles? A motorcycle? Dealership opportunities? Job opportunities....sheesh! This has been going on for over a year, yet they never talk about anything concrete.
I'm getting tired now;)

And that circle S is the ugliest I've seen. And if they make their own products and have no affiliation with any other company, then why do they have a pic of a 51? Matthew (is there any better car on the road other than an REAL Studebaker?)

The big $$ on that venture was in selling all of the "junk", not in the car. As usual, the cost of building the prototype, as expensive as it is, is chicken feed compared to putting a car into production and selling it. Barry'd in Studes
