Matthew,
Fred Fox in his article on Scotsman trucks mentioned that a few 59's
were titled in 1960 in certain states so they were listed as a 60 even
though the factory was making Champ trucks in 1960. These could have
been left over fleet trucks or just left over trucks not titled until
60.

Yep, I recalled that too, and just looked it up, nice catch.

This is certainly possible. There were some of the left over 1959 models
titled and sold as 1960 models. As for real 1960 1/2 ton C-Cabs, there were
65 4X4's build between March and June for the military. I know of only 4
survivors. I have one of them.
Are any of the Scotty's you have short bed? V8?

Huh...didn't know that guys. THanks for the info. Two of our Scotsman's
are short bed, one is a long whell base. But it's only a parts truck,
One other one is used regularly, and another is a future priject. They
are all flatty sixes. The nicest one sat in a barn for 20 years, and we
bought it out of the barn and have been workin it ever since. It's also
Omaha Orange.

Had a parts '59 with a big six. Had the Scotsman trim (if you could
call it that). Traded it to a friend, who traded it to a guy that has a
bunch of Studes, but won't answer his door, and is paranoid that
everyone is out to get his stash of NOS parts and Studes (we are
actually). Wish I had it back. Almost (did) give it away.

How sad. What's the piont in him having all those NOS parts if he ain't
gonna use them. Oh well. And Scotsman trim? Not much there to call trim
really...

I think it was Nixon who said, "Just because you are paranoid, doesn't
mean that they aren't out to get ya"
