Need Lark Hauled

Due to Calvin going in the hospital, I am looking for someone else to
haul a lark for me back from Tucson, AZ to the South Bend,IN area.
This Lark I bought is a replacement for the one of mine that burned....

There is no time frame limitation, Actully, the haul dosent have to be
made at one all the way to South Bend; just get the car closer to me :)

The car is road worthy and driveable so it could be driveable back if
someone has a business trip to Tucson or something and could drive it
somewhat back...

I simply do not have the time or other means to go get the car myself.
I know about JP's trucking agent, Peg trucking, but I cannot have them
haul it back for $ reasons, and also I wasn't happy at all after they
ripped out several spots on the frame of a car I had them haul in the
past (chains hooked into the weak stude frame and peeled it open)...

If someone can help I would be more then glad to pay a reasonable
amount to help with gas, but I simply cannot afford $1.25/mile

My Studebaker fund is really tight after my Lark burned so if anyone
has some suggestions how I can get this replacement Lark closer to home
or can help let me know.

Kent,
I had emailed this personally to you.  Had wanted my issue
published I would have posted it myself.
Thank You,
Calvin

My apolgies to the person I offended here  by mentioning their name and
why they couldnt haul my Lark.....It was not intended as slander nor a
mean form of harassment, it was a honest mistake. I know I cant retract
words so I guess I'll have to pay the price of my big mouth.

Calvin,

I'm sure it wasn't intentional.  We are all concerned about you, knowing
that you haven't been in the best of health lately.

I hope your stay is short and you come out on the right side of the turf.

Kent,

I'm working on buying an 8' bed from out that way.  I could probably pick it
up and maybe even bring it to the Spring Swap meet in South Bend in May.

The only problem, cost of Diesel.

Stopped by Hall County after a conference in Atlanta last week and visited
my sis and her family.

Bro-in-Law is a contractor, and says his diesel fuel bill is now $115,000...

***A MONTH!!!***

And all his jobs were bid when diesel was a dollar per gallon less.

And I thought I had problems.

My fuel bill runs just short of $100K/month, product costs and selling
price remains the same. Been an interesting couple of years, the steady
increase in volume is all that makes it bearable.

Pat, have you switched to synthetic oil with long drain intervals with
your fleet and use an oil analysis program to prolong the crankcase
fill?
Gordon Richmond - 29 Aug 2005 09:25 GMT
Pat,

You need some of those older-model Studebaker delivery vehicles; the
one or two horsepower types.

Put some Red Bull in the old feedbag, and they'd really scoot down the
road!
