Every time I see Sky Hawk mentioned I feel worse about selling the one I had
in the mid-80s. It was rust-free, straight (undamaged) body, three speed
overdrive, original gold (single color) paint with a so-so black and white
interior. It was cobbled up mechanically and I had a man wanting it to
restore like his '56 Golden that he had owned years ago, so...
I do agree that they are one of the best looking Studebakers. I'm not
interested in finned Hawks or '62s/'63s, but I love the '64s too.

My Sky Hawk has been in the restoration shop for the last 18 months and
will soon move into the paint booth (I hope). It will also be Romany
Red on bottom and Snowcap White on top. Mine was straight to begin
with and was completely dry. The hood had at one time, wrapped up over
the roof and had a marginal repair at best. I did have to locate a new
hood. Don C.
