We had a nice gathering on PEI on Sunday, and a good turnout of Studebaker
vehicles coming in from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia  (and other guests not
driving Studes, including from Ohio). for the perfect weather for cruising
down the south coast overlooking the sea--28C/82F sunshine and clear skies.
47 Champion, 50 truck (absolute perfection!!) 50 Champion convertible, >59<
Canadian Built Silver Hawk (Robert, you should have been there, yup, VC etc)
61 Hawk, 61 Lark VI,  63 GT Hawk, 63 Daytona convertible 6, 63 Daytona
Wagonaire V8, 63 Avanti. Oh, and a hard to describe vehicle. Its a 54
Commander C body , but it has a 185 six in it with overdrive now (who would
have anticipated that change in a 54?), and  later Hawk front sheet metal
with those pesky and troublesome side grills removed and some nice round
amber lights phared in instead. And just for more fun, it has 55 butterknife
side trim, and GT Hawk taillights with the original trunk. It takes some
time to get the eyes acclimatised, and I think that the owner likes  the
same individual features of the C/K run 53-64 that I do. You just never
expect them all in a nice Dagwood sandwich <G>.

No, no pictures. It was enough of a trial to get there, let alone remember
to bring a camera <G>. I'm sure Graham G and others have loads of pics...and
he's now retired, so he has plenty of time to send some to you so that you
can post them to the group. That 50 truck was something else! Even had wide
whitewalls, a perfect "gentleman farmer" truck. Your dad would have been
almost willing to give up his fascination for cornbinders, I'm sure.
