Anyone dealing with EBay has probably received messages that someone
has been using their ID to make illegal offers. The next message that
comes to me is me requiring to update my account. Is this an anomaly or
just me.

Sounds like a phish to me. Report'em to spoof@ebay.com

Anything from eBay will usually not have a link, but will ask you to
log onto "My eBay" and deal with whatever.....

I think that there are more fake eBay and PP messages than there are
real ones!
