Hemmings Muscle Machines magazine just announced a contest for "Muscle Machine of the Year" in the new, October 2005 edition I got in today's mail as a subscriber. They picked 24 Muscle Cars on which they have reported since the magazine began, and are soliciting reader votes from among those 24, for "Muscle Machine of The Year." The only Studebaker in the list is Car #11; Nelson Bove's 1964 R3 Commander 2-door they reviewed last year. (Groan...they identified it as a 1963 model!) Oh, well. You can vote on line at this dedicated website: www.hemmings.com/mmoy Scroll down to the photo and brief description of Nelson's car. Click on the little circle by his car and then hit SUBMIT.
