I had just asked about the trans seals and this is what I was told.
Frt Seal = SKF 19240

Usually when a front end "corkscrews," one shock is weaker than the
other or the same with the springs. I had that problem with the Lark
and it turned out that the RF shock was bad from the beginning.

Couldn't you also use early spring plates that would accommodate a rear
sway bar as well?

I am thinking that is it, one of the shocks was "stuck" out of the box
but freed up when I leaned on it, I should have taken it back right
there but it seemed to be working OK.

Sure you could, but if I'm understanding the interchange correctly the
Camaro shocks look like a late Stude front shock so you would actually
want Avanti/"super" car spring plates to use a sway bar and the camaro
shocks (you'd press out the piece with the "tabs" for the bolts and
replace it with a sleeve. The "bayonet" goes toward the bottom.)
Otherwise you would be stuck with the "classic gas" shocks (which have
been OK for me up until now.)
