We have had two military convoys pass through Perkins this morning.
The second one had to be two miles long, or longer.
I was heading home in the GT (Studebaker content,) and there was a solid
line of convoy for the last mile before I got home, and it continued to the
top of the hill 1/2 mile to the north of my drive way... I don't know how
much longer it may have been.
I felt a chill go down my spine I hadn't felt in a while.
Those trucks will get there, but they are not capable of getting there, "in
a hurry."

The National Guard general in charge in New Orleans now, was
referred to as a real "John Wayne dude" by the cities mayor. Story here:

CNN just mentioned (again) that a third of the N.O. cops "walked off the
job, saying they were tired of being shot at..."
Might that have contributed to the problems in N.O.?
The Red Cross lady said last night when asked about why the RC wasn't going
into some areas that they can only go where the military/police tell them
its safe to go, and then allows them to go.

The "Ragin' Cajun!"
I'm ready for him in 1600 P. Ave right now!
Don't have to tell him to, "Fish or cut bait."
