Price is good. Drill press is well........................
I wouldn't expect a lot of quality/service life for either press.

Russ must have had the same expirences that I have. The price is good
but the quality is lacking and the tools just don't hold up.

Lee,
We have a Harbor Freight here in town now... it's about a 10 minute
drive from me... If you want me to take a look at then and tell you what
they are like... I'd be happy to.

Thanks, don't make a special trip... but if you're in the neighborhood.  I
don't really have a need for one but for $40-50 I figured it may be worth
picking one up.  I've got a HF half-way between the house and the dog park
too.

For the home hobbyist or wood worker, those drill presses woudl be OK.
They both turn WAY too fast for drilling steel though unless you want
to be buying a LOT of drills.  They'll heat up in a hurry at 600+ RPM
and, once they get hot, throw them away.  It'll save aggrevation <G>

The bins are an OK deal.  I have used them in the past and they are
strong enough to fill with nuts, bolts, washers and pins.

I got a cheapie "Clarke" brand from Tractor supply for Christmas one year.
Looks like the same quality.
Works OK for wood.

WAAAAy too flimsy for steel. It stalls out and the litle add on depth gage
broke quickly.

Stay away if you are wanting to USE it.

Quality of their stuff is so-so...
But their warranty exchange policy is great.
I have broken a couple of items after a lot of hard use, and have returned
and exchanged the items without hassle or exception.
It's still people dealing with people, and only the policies get in the way.
One thing that does bug me is that I have a knack of buying an item from
them and it always seems to go on major sale a month or two later.

Order something online from them and your mailbox will never be empty...
I've gotten two and three fliers from them in the same week with the same
items on sale for different prices.  Go to the store and they ask you which
flier you have.
