Kent came through his surgury just fine, he is on drip IV antibiotics
and will have to be on them for at least a month due to the severe
infection. The infection attacked and pocketed itself in his glands
(neck, etc), and also in his mustle connecting tissue in his chest. He
sleeps about 16-18 hours a day due to the infection the the strong
medicine. So far the medicine is working as his fever of 102.5 has
broke and seems better, but he gets really depressed over not being
able to "do stuff". Doctor says he has to bed rest for the most part
for at least 5 more weeks. I have no idea how that will be accomplished
without chains to hold him in bed! LMAO
Anyways, If any of you guys would care to send him a card or something
I think it would really brighten his recuperation. Email me for his
snail mail address. If you dont want to send a card, just email me a
note and I'll print it out and give it to kent.
I myself isnt directly into Studebakers, but I do live in South Bend
and Studebaker parts some how find there way into my and my sisters
yard (to be taken to kent)since we are practically neighbors (couple
blocks away) of NG'er Rich Dudkowski here in South Bend.

Jamie: I'd like to send Kent a card, but have to have your e-mail
address to get his snail mail addy. Please post your e-mail address.
You have to write it out "suchandsuchatcoxnet.com" or whatever, or it
will abbreviate it and we still won't know what it is. BP

Kent, don't use Jamie as a voice for your own concerns. Jamie DID NOT write
the original message and knows nothing about this!

Jamie,
See if the hospital has an e-mail address for patients. I know of a couple
hospitals that have a dedicated e-mail address for patients (something like
patient@hospitalname.com) you just put their name and room number in the
Subject: line and they have volunteers who print them out and deliver them
two or three times a day. Pretty cool thing for patients, and very little
cost for the hospital... if they don't have it, contact the hosptal's IT
manager and mention it to him, he'll probably get a bonus for suggesting it
to the CEO for the huge benefit and low cost.

To clarify:
actully Kent came home from the hospital today after his fever broke
yesterday (they figured he is "stable"), he is still on IV stuff and
the nurses come three times a day to check on him, and is being watched
around the clock by some of his other relitives. (this is because he
dosen't have health insurance, to save hospital bills).

Great to hear that he is doing well.
Is it possible he could borrow a laptop computer and a wireless router so
he can surf the net and other such things while in bed?
