A few weeks ago on "My Classic Car" they talked with a company that
offers audio gear for collector cars, including a 6"x9" stereo speaker
that had two midrange/high drivers built into a single speaker frame.
Their website doesn't have a link for that episode, does anyone have any
idea what company that was, or where to find a speaker like that?

I believe Studebaker International sells that item.

Jeff did you see what I did to my Hawk (actually stole the idea from someone
here and can't remember who). I mounted two 3.5" speakers to a piece of
1/4" plexiglas, drilled holes to match the original speaker mount and now
I've got 4 speakers in the car... two in the dash grill and two in the
package shelf grill. You can take a look at it next weekend if your
interested.

Custom autosound has all of the stuff you need to get your audio system
going. Better bring your wallet.

The speakers look pretty good - the receivers are junk, I tried one and
sent it back. Cheap, cheap, cheap. Quality, not price.

Bringing my wallet isn't the problem, it's the moths that fly out that
is <G>
Found the website, they even mention the speakers, but unfortunately the
website sucks, it's full of broken links.
However one of their links worked, and these people have the speaker...

Now that you mention it I do remember. How does it sound?

Better than a single speaker in each hole. I'm not going to win any stereo
competition but I think I've only got $40 into the receiver (Jensen AM/FM/CD
mounted under the driver's seat) and probably $80 in speakers (Yamaha in
front, Pioneer in rear). All E-Bay items.
