Took the Transtar and a buddy down to Central Building Supplies to get a
bunch of wood for his deck project.
I asked "How much are your shop grade 2x4's"?
Salesman says,"well,we have a sale on,the more you buy the cheaper they are"
I said "Good, just keeping loading my truck till their free"
Guy had no sense of Ha Ha ,mabey hed heard it before.

Observed this past weekend after Katrina. . . . .

Big Box stores in the Midwest are posting signs about limited quantity
or not available at all.

If you have a need in the next few months better get 2x4's, plywood and
OSB as soon as you can.

No generators seen at Northern Tool, Menards or HD. . . .

Buy some stock in the wood industry.  ;-)

Then this way:

A guy(Kind of a slow person with less than a full deck) went in to buy a
2x4 and the salesman said "How long do you want it"? The guy says " Well
I would like to keep it".

True Story:
Some grocery stores used to have a promotional contest; they had a star
pre-printed somewhere on their cash register tape; if it was on your cash
register receipt..your purchase was free. One fellow watched and waited
until a new tape was put in. Then he and his buddy started bringing full
grocery carts through; one after another after another after another.
He won thousands of dollars worth of free groceries.
After that the store changed the conditions of the contest!
