Lots of little custom touches, not like I would have done it. <g>

If  I bought it, I'd replace the tail light lenes before I even sat in it.

I saw that one.  Those taillights have got to go--I'd rip open a leg walking
about that thing.

Yep,the tailights,the spotlights,those ugly wheels,and that extra set of
park lights on top of the fenders would be all on E-Bay as soon as I got it.
I have to admit though,a Golden Hawk hood on a 60 Hawk looks pretty darn
good!

I think he was referring to them being hard and plastic.

Didn't anyone notice the politically incorrect Confederate battle
ensign on the wheel knock-offs?
Paul Brewington - 08 Sep 2005 01:21 GMT
I bought a 55 commander from this guy a few years ago.   He ripped me
a new one.   Not his fault though.  I just thought Studebakers were
more valuable than it actually turned out.   As the saying goes "He
saw me comming."

The seller seems a little unclear on his facts.

A 2-speed transmission, when it's a manual with OD?

It's a Stude V8, not a Packard engine. That GM corrugated wire loom on
the sparkplug wires looks REAL tacky, IMHO.

Seems to me the paint is a little tired, and it wouldn't surprise me
to learn it has front fender rust.

Most of the nifty customizing features could be uh, improved with a
little screwdriver work.

I'd guess the BIN is a tad higher than the car is worth. Maybe about 6
or 7 Gs?

What was with the comments about the word Packard detracting from the car?
Gordon Richmond - 08 Sep 2005 06:46 GMT
I didn't say that a Packard V8 detracted anything. If it did in fact
have a Packard engine in it, that would be cool. But it looks like it
is probably the original Stude engine, and not a Packard Hawk engine,
unless the blower, etc. got removed.

Seller just has his facts wrong. And that detracts from the
presentation.
