We have one of my favorite car shows of the season coming up this
weekend,Sherbrook Village,about a 250 mile round trip for me.
Last year I took both the truck and the Lark, there were several Studes
there, and it was a hellava good time.
This year I even was dreaming of taking the truck,Lark, and Hawk,I like the
show that much, and its one of the last ones of the season.
Then I just filled the Hawk with regular at 134.9/litre.(roughly 4.5 litres
to a gallon)
My very acccurat gas gage went from 3/4 full to full at the cost of 34
dollars.
Taking three cars is nuts to even think about, were just gonna take the Hawk.
These gas prices have to really start kicking the car show attendance in the
head.
I just keep thinking of the muscle car guys, whew!
Im sure glad Im a biker anyway,I can still go out and cruise with no
paticular destination in mind, and enjoy it as always, but I fear the days of
doing it with our cars are numbered.
Sorry to sound so down on such a beautiful morning with a weekend coming
up,but this fuel price thing is all Ya here folks talking about around
here(and everywhere else too I suspect).
Im not a jealous man,I don't want whatever anyone elses got,but I sure do
hate it when things beyond my controll start messing with my modest
lifestyle.
Guess if it keeps getting worse,Ill have to take up kite flying, something I
can afford(G)

That was the case at two local AACA shows here this past weekend. Weather
was prefect, but attendance was way off.

We had a beautiful Labor Day weekend, but traffic to the beaches was off.
Governor came on TV and radio last week and said that due to Katrina the
pipelines that supplied us with gas were virtually shut down and that we
needed to conserves gas, so he wanted us to cut down on excess driving.
Then he got in his helicopter and went to the beach for the weekend.
Pipelines are fixed, gas dropped from $3.35 a gallon to $2.99. Funny
they haven't gone down nearly as quickly as they went up!
