What is so special about this Avanti? And is this seriously what an Avanti in this shape goes for now days? Hawk 53 Starlight I was informed of this car 2 weeks before it was going to hit ebay.Coulda got it for a few grand less.I passed on it. The phrase" there is nothing more expensive than a cheap Avanti" kept running through my head.Plus the fact that last year I looked at 2 R2 4 speed 63's (drivers)and at 6K there was no interest here for either one also scared me off it. The engine has about 3 hours on the rebuild and 0 miles. It has R-3 Valves, the heads and intake are gasket matched, edelbrock carb, pertronix ignition, arp rod bolts, recored radiator, .060 over flat top pistons, and a R2+ cam from Ted. Also what horsepower numbers would I expect. Nick 6-8K would be my guess, maybe 260-275 HP.
